Hoshin Planning workshop ( 2 Day workshop)

Hoshin Planning is a strategic management planning system that focuses on identifying and prioritizing improvement areas that are directly related to achieving the organization's strategic objectives. Hoshin Planning is like a management compass that points the way for achieving specific organizational objectives.

Hoshin Planning workshop participants should include people from all organizational departments and levels. The purpose of Hoshin Planning is to identify the highest priority process improvement projects. It is highly desirable that those participating in the Hoshin Planning Workshop have taken one or more prior courses that give background in process definition and improvement.

Description of Hoshin Planning Sessions

Session 1 - Leadership Group Guidance

In this session, senior management provide information on the organization's strategic objectives and general guidance on the areas in which they recommend organizational objectives be established.

Session 2 - Overview of Hoshin Planning

The objective of this session is to provide participants with general training on of the principles and processes associated with Hoshin Planning and an understanding of the way in which process management tools can be used to help in designing an organizational level Hoshin Planning process.

Session 3 - Establishing Preliminary Organizational-Level Hard and Soft Objectives

This session provides an opportunity for working groups to both identify preliminary objectives and review these with meeting participants.

Session 4 - Designing a Hoshin Planning Process

This session provides participants with knowledge and skills to support their Hoshin Planning Process design effort.

Session 5 - Working Groups to Establish Top-Level Hoshin Planning Implementation Process

This session provides participants with the opportunity to get started with implementing their Hoshin planning process design effort.
